Siena & Ravenna
So the past two days have been day trips away from Firenze. Friday we went to Siena, which was a very quaint town. i loved all the winding, climbing streets. The city center was a huge gathering place where they also have horse races. We went into the zebra cathedral (I forget the real name) but the inside was made of black and white stones placed in horizontal stripes. The heads of all the popes went around the top (carved stone ones of course). i think it was one of the prettiest churches i've seen so far. Now, as opposed to the stone heads, the next church we went to had the FINGER and HEAD of St. Catherine. oh yes. i kept thinking "The Finger of Joe Don." i have a postcard of each. this relic biz is wild!

Gma and I are here at Panera in Tally! Gma says she's so glad that you're having such a wonderful time. Her advice...don't let Joe Don's finger get you and run so the TofP won't fall on you. Oh, they received your post card and really enjoyed it! Also, she said they are enjoying me!!!! Ha Ha We all send you our love and continue prayers for your safety as well as everyone else in your group!
So thrilled you're able to have this experience! You certainly deserve every minute - especially cool to be a "grown up" and a kid at the same time!
Can't wait to see you in Montg with Hil & Justin and your new home!
Lots of love,
Melissa
